I'm concerned with the increase in traffic and traffic violations in Hyattsville. For a number of years, daily, I walk our dog, visit Magruder park, go to shops on Route 1, commute to the Metro by bicycle, have to navigate traffic in and out of our driveway, etc. I have noticed more traffic and traffic violations (speeding, not stopping at stop signs, delivery trucks avoiding East West Highway, etc.). I do report non-emergency violations to the police but there must be more that the city can do. What is your plan to make Hyattsville safer and more enjoyable for walking and cycling? How do you propose to calm and regulate traffic better?
