Idea: Bikeshare

Hyattsville needs to try and attract more capital bike share stations. These station come with a ton of benefits. Studies show they can reduce traffic, increase property values, make the city more accessible, and they are also a good way for residents to exercise. I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t be at the two metro stations, the arts district and along queens chapel road.

One of the candidates suggested city wide composting, I was wondering where that fit in the present city budget and how much would it cost to fund the project.

Great, two bad ideas. I assume the city wide composting will only benefit people in living in houses as usual (same with the trash/waste collection). Where would you ride the capital bike share from West Hyattsville. To the Arts district? Do you see how dangerous that road is?

Queens chapel road was just a suggestion. A bike share dock could easily be placed on one of the "safer" roads that lead into Queens Chapel Road. The point I was trying to make is that Hyattsville needs better transportation options for non drivers.
